Where to begin?!?... After high school, I went to Middle Georgia College but dropped out after a year. I then met Mark and we began dating at the end of 1993. To make a really long story short, we had an on again/off again relationship for about a year. Because I was completely blind, stupid, dumb (take your pick) I was also dating someone else and picked him over Mark! I kicked myself in the ass for many years for that wrong choice I made. I ended up marrying the other guy and the only good thing that came out of that relationship was Valerie. I know, such a cliche, but I mean it! He is a sorry piece of crap, as he chooses not to see his own daughter. She was 2 years old when we divorced and that was the last time he saw her. Luckily, I found my way back to Mark in 2002. We dated for a couple of years and we married October 23, 2004. Valerie thinks of Mark as her daddy and she doesn't know any different. So, I think of it as a blessing in disguise that her biological father wants nothing to do with her. We are the happy family that I've always wanted. During all those years after high school, I worked in a small insurance office. I had obtained my insurance license and worked there for 12 years. Since April 2007, I haven't been working outside the house. Believe me, I still have a job... taking care of my family, home, etc. I just can't believe I use to go to work 40 hrs a week and still had time to take care of my family and home, like so many women do. I can honestly say that women are the stronger gender and not appreciated for all that they do. Our jobs are never done, we never have a day off and we keep going when we are ready to quit. I'm still not positive if I'd rather stay home or go back to work, but for now I'm home and enjoying it. I do feel less stressed, I don't feel as rushed, and I'm less irritated and edgy. Also I have much more time to spend with my family and tend to their needs. I guess that about sums me up!
