Get Your Own! | View SlideshowFrom the age of 14 Wayne Wreckz has been into music. Wayne joined his family group playing the keyboard, producing and co-writing songs, which were preformed in Leicester, Bradford, Nottingham, Derby Birmingham and Londons Shepards Bush. I further performed at various festivals on the main stage with The Sounds of Blackness, Truce and more, in front of crowds of at least 20,000 people. The group also won various competitions. Whilst I was in the group I also produced for other groups and singers in and around Leicester.In 1989 Wayne and Steve Decided to start a spin off group with Steve Hanley also known as Selecta S and Steve Antonio called Solid State. They wrote and produced our own music, in 1990 Busta Scratch also known as phykhomantus join the group and we performed around the East Midlands. Then we all decided to make our own path in the music industry.At the age of 18 I was also asked to dj at house parties and other venues, as back then it was more of a hobby.In 2000 myself and my partner David decided to go down the club promotions route with a night called After Dark, we did a few one off gigs then I started the After Dark Crew with another DJ where we soon became a fast name in Leicester playing along side The Gorrillaz, So Solid Crew etc..In the beginning of 2001 I took the solo route and theres been no looking back, I was soon on the Sony Street Team promoting in and around Leicester, nights such as the Jennifer Lopez, album launch parties etc.I have played with such people as Jade Jones and Andre Harriet of Damage, Mikee B and Spoony of the Dream Team, Chris Goldfinger, Robbo Ranks, PMC, General Levy, DJ Swerve, Big Ted, DJ, and David Ronigan, hosted the 411, Elizabeth Troy and many more such big name artists. I have also played in Ibiza.Whilst all of the above was going on I started a weekly promotion with my partner called CHIC, which went on for 6 months, before the club changed into a rock club, and we then moved to Burton On Trent for a few one offs. We played a few dates in Leicester at Rebirth. I am currently playing at residencies up and down the UK, including nights like Twice as Nice.I am also the tour DJ for The Devius, a Hip Hop Group from Leicester who won the Channel U Competition for the best video in 2004, out of ten selected. I have worked on numerous RSLs with Vision FM where I have done a prime-time day show with ginner, Monday to Friday playing different genres of music and an RnB show in the evenings. Vision FM 95.1.is on twice a year and will be streaming via the net very soon. an will also be back on air in december 2006 music layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com
