Yo what’s up people? This is Dj Supa-T, I have been at the forefront of urban music in and around Peterborough for the past 12 yrs or so. I originally started Djing on the no 1 sound in P'boro (Enforcer) at the time due to mixing element of my sets I soon started mixing the dub plates in sound clashes which at the time was rare in and around the East Anglia area, most sounds just had the mic man bring in the dub plate. With this style we were soon kicking sounds all round the country.It was very difficult to get a break in the clubs as urban music was not welcome round these ends at the time; it was just house parties and the odd one off dance going down in the clubs. I was not going to be beaten and pestered promoters to the point I just turned up with records to my first club do and demanded a 20 min set. The promoter had no choice but to put me on, what with most of the crowd demanding it too. I ended up playing a 2 hr set and became a resident with this promoter.I soon moved on and met up with Symon Henry who wanted to get into promoting. I gave him my insight and he launched a night called the Steam Room which took over the urban club nights in P'boro, obviously with me as the resident Dj. This is when the top named djs started to come to P'Boro.All around this time there was an Off licence that we all used to use called Wine King which was owned by the Singh Brothers (Kav & Del), who one day told me they intended on opening a night club, which they did and we all now know as The Park. It did start out as a wine bar, but soon the demand for urban music was too strong to ignore! I had been busy promoting a Sunday night there, which was very busy and we soon tried it on a sat night which worked perfectly and the rest is history as they say. The Park is the premier Urban Club in the whole of East Anglia attracting only the best Dj's & Artists on the urban scene.I have worked with the likes of Ronnie Herel, Spoony, Westwood, Semtex, Goldfinger, Seani B - along with many others (too many to mention). I am also on the 1xtra dj panel for reviewing single and album releases. My main residency is at The Park Night Club in Peterborough.Myself and Dj Firestarr have launched a night called SEXYBACK which is doing very well due to our styles we compliment the night very well and bring in other Dj's to keep the people on there toes from time to time.
