PDB PROJECT ARE PRODUCERS OF DANCE - TRANCE & ELECTRO HOUSE..........**DJ Chris-P Biography**Chris has been DJ'ing since for longer than he cares to admit and began in the humble tradition of "private function mobile disco " !!Always eager to introduce dance music to mainstream audiences he could often, even back then, be heard playing stuff like Parliament, Funkadelic, and T connection to many a raised eyebrow in the audience. Also progressing into a reggae sound system worked under two names SOUND INC and TITAN SOUND as well as playing at various events including support to Maxi Priest, Sophia George, Steel Pulse and others.
Soon he became aware that the best way to be playing the music he liked was to organise his own parties, and so he began !
Closely connected to the early soul/funk all dayers in Leicester, Chris began to get booked as specialist dance DJ. He was in the right place at the right time when house came along in the mid 80's and turned his attention to it. A natural progression on to the early rave scene happened and under the name Krazy K, began playing for such organisations as Amnesia, Fantasia, Total Kaos, NRG, and also formed own promotion called RAW. This had several very successful events in and around the midlands, and was also taken on as resident at Amnesia's own club "Rage" in Leicester.A return to mainstream corporate DJ'ing saw Chris working for Luminar Leisure, First Leisure, SFI Group and many others. Chris is now resident at CLUB iT in Grantham Lincolnshire where he has played alongside Dave Pearce and Judge Jules. Chris is also part owner/promoter of a successful trance and hard house night called GOBBLE, and runs his own Oldskool night called REWIND, and still enjoys playing oldskool rave nights for various promoters.Chris is also one half of Dance production outfit "PDB Project" who have produced their first single with Big Brother 2006 contestant Bonnie Holt on vocals.Worst DJ moment - Booked for a party that turned out to be a gypsy wedding !! Where the family insisted on hearing Elvis for most of the evening, so had to have an Elvis Greatest hits album delivered by taxi!.Best DJ moments - When my favourite MC, Man Paris, turned up unannounced, and began mc'ing to my set, without me knowing. Also playing alongside Judge Jules,Slipmat,Ratpack, & moreClaim To Fame:- I have two, one is, I met Bob Marley, my boyhood hero. The other is, I was onstage with the prodigy during the video shoot for "Out Of Space".Quote - " The best way to achieve success as a DJ is to diversify into various genres, without compromising yourself as an artist. Get the balance right and enjoy yourself
