Yeah it's no mere coincidence I was given the name Darren Joseph Horgan maybe fate, I've been into Hip-Hop and Rocking the Decks since the early eighties and have loved every minute of it and seeing the Movement evolve through the Good and Bad times. Saw Public Ememy, LL Cool J, RUN DMC , Eric B and Rakim, Houdini, De La Soul, and various other groups Live in the Mid Eighties Fell in Love the the art form that was known as scratching back then but now called Turntablism. D.j. Jazzy Jeff, D.J.CashMoney, Cut Master D.C. they were my Heros. I entered the DMC mixing Com and got to a Regional Finals in Romford which was cool at the time, I also won a mixing Competition on BBC Radio's Fresh Start To The Week which was hosted by Dave Pearce and won studio time in GEE Street Studios, I was also a member of a 3 way posse called NHAMZONE from the mid 90's til about 03 which consisted of Myself and fellow Beat producer Beatrix now known as Codec11 or Bluetone boy and a Rapper called Madmanmarz who would MC over many tracks, we produced a lot of tracks and there is a Nhamzone E.p. out there somewhere which we released on promo only which features 4 tracks....Well Time moved on and we all went our separate ways musically,I took some time to gather my thoughts and decided to embark on my own journey into sound "ha ha! coldcut remix". So for the last couple of years I have been working Hard at building up my studio and polishing off my production skills in all aspects of my Game.. My tracks all consist of Raw Breaks and Beats, Weird and Colourful samples and Analog synths and BE SURE! no Boring preset sounds will make it onto any of my tracks. The SP1200 and the TR808 are just two of the sonic weapons in my production studio as well as loads of dusty albums and sevens from many a deep digging trip. I'm mostly spotted digging for records in Chartiy shops and boot fairs and a regular at Kid Dynomites "Daily Diggers" weekly Record Rehab along with The Beat Detective , Rob Familier and D.J. Skye passes threw often and many other faces so its always a good night where the Wax really hits the fan. I practice Kung Fu and Chinese Boxing and if your really lucky you could find me on top of the Great Pyramid!! My website is currently under construction. www.breaksthehabit.com. Also big thanks to KID DYNOMITE for designing The Hip Hopper From Birth E.P. label...Also there's a big Daddy Kane remix which you can download so please check that out.Message me with any ideas you have or if even if to say you just like the tracks and especially message me if you don't like them because it will make me stronger....
PEACE OUT!
