Cut Master D.C. is an Icon in Hip-Hop Culture, to say the least . He not only put Brooklyn on the map with his 1985 release of the record "Brooklyns In The House" (Performed, Written, Arranged, Produced and Mixed by him). This record single handedly started the whole phenomenon bragging about your town. The title alone became a celebrated phrase still used world wide. If that isnt enough, his DJ skills are nothing short of astonishing. He literally amazed all those who had the pleasure of watching him perform (using 3 turntables, cutting with a basketball, with sneakers on his hands, with his nose, his elbows, chopsticks, crutches, etc.). Cut Master D.C. has performed on stage with such Hip Hop Greats as LL Cool J, The Beatsie Boys, Run DMC, The Fat Boys, Kurtis Blow, Threacherous Three, Grandmaster Flash , Grandmaster Melle Mel, Force MDs, The Aleems, Stetsasonic, T-Ski Valley, Dana Dane, Schooly D., Whodini, Biz Markie Dee , Roxanne Shante, Whistle, UTFO, Eric B & Rakim, Kool G Rap, KRS One, The Original Jazzy Jay, DJ Cash Money, Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, Salt & Peppa, Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Hyde, Dougie Fresh, Slick Rick to name a few. He has also done studio engineering work for Rawkus Records, Columbia Records, Elektra Records, Polygram Records, Palm Tree Ent., Power Play Studios, Secret Sound Studios, Funky Slice Studios, and Pro Jam Studios. More Recently Cut Master D.C. has (2000-Present) reinvented himself on the streets with his Mix CDs. Currently known to the streets as "DJ Hakim". Only he can best explain the decision not to use his name Cut Master D.C. on his Mix CDs. However in just a short period of time he (DJ Hakim aka Cut Master D.C.) is presently considered The Best R&B, Old School Mix Tape DJ Ever. Further demonstrating his versatility as a DJ he released these mix cds... "Classic Soca Vol.1", "Club Dance Vol.1", and "Reggae Dancehall Vol.1" which are now well known classics. This is no accident. The genius of Cut Master D.C. has no boundaries. He's also currently co-hosting, and DJing for a Public Access Television Comedy Show called "Laughing Matters". This multi-talented DJ (recording artist, studio engineer, rapper, poet, drum programmer, producer, and song writer) has redefined the term "Versatile DJ". The Original Jazzy Jay, Kid Capri, DJ Premiere , Busta Rhymes, DJ Red Alert, and DJ Scratch recently explained it best when they said Cut Master D.C. is A True Living Legend In Hip-Hop.
