Murder Fish is the name of a pop-punk-emo band from Campobasso, in the south of Italy. They play a genre of their own called Hillcore: it’s a mix of the typical Epitaph/ Burning Heart sound (Lagwagon, Millencolin, Bad Religion, No Use For A Name, Pennywise) and emocore (Matchbook Romance, Yellow Card), with a small addition of Nineties rock. They are: Antonio on guitar and vocals, Furnier on guitar and vocals, Monkey on drums and Tony on lead vocals and bass. All the members come from previous experiences with other bands, and are involved in side-projects. As soon as they got together they started composing original songs, always taking a special care in arranging their music. Their sound is powerful, with moving rhythms and great melodies. Murder Fish spent the whole 2004 playing live and conquering some fond fans. During 2005 they recorded and produced their first CD, that they’re actually promoting.
