Maurizio Chiavaro

He began studying music at the age of 4. From 6 to 9 he studied piano at the “Nuccio Fiorda” accademy in Campobasso. At the age of 12, he started playing drums and began studying jazz at the “Thlonious Monk Jazz school”. For six years he was taught the drums by M° Donato Cimaglia and other teachers such as: Giovanni Tommaso, Enrico Pieranunzi, Alessandro Bonanno, Jerry Popolo etc. At the age of 16 he receives the most votes in the 3rd year of his percussin class at Conservatory “L.Perosi” of Campobasso. For five years he studies with teachers M°Giulio Costanzo, Adriano Oliva etc. During this period he is member of “Percussioni Ketoniche” percussion ensamble under direction of M°Giulio Costanzo and in followers beging a member of “Orchestra Regionale del Molise” under direction of M°Albenese He take part in 2003 and for trhee years following in Mouscron (Belgium) to the “Young Jazz Puzzle for Europe” an international seminary of jazz music direct by M° Pierre Vaiana and M° Thomas Dewattripont. In 2004 he move to Rome where currently attend the “Saint Louis Music College” with teachers M°Claudio Mastracci, M°Franco Canfora, M°Pierpaolo Principato, M°Claudio Colasazza, M°Emilio Merone, M°Carlo Mezzanotte, M°Gianfranco Gullotto. M°Stefano Sbatini and follow many seminaries with Horacio “el Negro” Hernandez, Peter Eskine, Kim Plaifield, Jack DeJohnette and Roma Jazz's Cool with Gene Jackson, John Taylor, Salvatore Bonafede, Adam Rogers, Bob Stoloff, Rosario Giuliani, Giovanni Tommaso
