Singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress Robin Raynelle Batey is a native of Nashville Tennessee. From the age of seven; she has been featured in several Christian music videos, commercials, soundtracks, television specials, conventions, and etc. Some of her talent accomplishments include starring as a singer/dancer at the former Opryland Theme park in a number of shows starting the age of ten. At twelve she appeared on the first episode of Kids Apollo" at the world famous Apollo Theater in New York. She was also a featured soloist at the groundbreaking ceremonies of the Adelphia Coliseum, now home of the Tennessee Titans. Raynelle attended The Nashville School of the Arts Magnet High School where she continued to showcase her talents. She earned a principal role as an actress on a show titled "Club Write" which is still aired on WDCN in many areas of the US. At sixteen she began to travel the country with Motivations Inc. lead by Roderick Glover putting on a number of musical theatre productions to motivate youth all across the country. Her senior year, Raynelle was one of twelve chosen out of fifteen hundred singers and dancers to perform in the "Gaylord Ambassador Teen Show" for three seasons out at Oprymills Mall.
After graduation Raynelle performed and traveled with several dance ensembles taking her from Baltimore, Maryland to Tallahassee, Florida where she was one of the hand picked few to train with the world-renowned pioneer dancer Catherine Dunham. She has also toured the country singing with a number of Nashville, TNs top cover bands such as Burning Las Vegas and Familiar Faces. She can also be seen in up and coming independent film Generation Curses starring as leading lady Jasmine Adams due 2006.
Over the past few years Raynelle has drawn most of her attention to writing, recording and performing her original music. During the process of recording her first album she has opened for renowned artist such as Patty Labelle and John Legend. Her music is warming to the soul and lyrically straight from the heart. She uses her own experiences to paint vivid pictures and tell life stories melodically. When on stage, Raynelle really knows how to communicate with her listeners and pull in her audience to make them part of each show. Rather be highly energetic or a smooth and laid back performance each show is fulfilling to the mind, body and soul. Raynelle is truly an all around seasoned entertainer. This quadruple threat is one you dont want to look over because she is on her way to the top. Giving all honor and praises to God, she hopes to continue to be a positive influence to many people around the world.
