Greg “Reality” Arnold’s journey has not been an easy one by far;his path has not been “bump-free” either, yet, this young man successfully managed the transition from boyhood to manhood.Regardless of all the hardships, obstacles and ugly truths, both social and political that he encountered,Reality managed to transform his life’s lessons into inspirational verses and lyrics that people of all ages and backgrounds can relate to.Indeed the saying “Never judge a book by its cover” could not be more appropriate than in this caseWhether reading this poet’s verses or listening to his inspirational Hip Hop lyrics, one cannot manage to ignore his message,never camouflaged truths unravel from the tip of his mind,his voice a mere vessel for the ultimate message which reaches beyond any open mic or surrounding areas.Never confined by area codes or zip codes,Reality has traveled extensively to ensure what he called “The Movement” reaches new destinations by any means necessary.The streets, once friendly, transitioned to become his permanent stages, but his aim has now changed.What used to be considered “writing as his therapy for the soul”, his personal way to keep his sanity,later became his testimony, the message, which would reach people of all ages and social and racial backgrounds.Reality’s purpose is one to ensure awareness and truths are wide spread, like a disease with no cure,he hopes to touch one’ soul by the way of the eardrum and one’s mind by the way of his pen.This man’s walk, started in Oklahoma City 28 years ago, later lead him to Texarkana Arkansas, which he called home for most of his life.Here is where the streets, drugs, gangs and God crossed his path back and forth; and it was thanks to the Man above that his soul was saved and his life spared from becoming another statistic and the casualty of an internal war.Through life’s trial and tribulations he managed to travel, go to college and graduate; finally ending residing in TN for over 5 yrs.This is where Gregory Arnold shaped into “Reality”.He is now the CEO and Founder of “Reality Entertainment”, a production company responsible for several events which take place all over the south.His message, the underground movement, both transitioned from being an ideology to becoming a tangible reality,from Murfreesboro to Nashville, Tennessee, this inspirational Hip Hop artist assisted with the birth and development of many events,such as Soul Therapy Unplugged, The Hip Hop Revolution just to name two of the most recent ones.He has performed with many solo artists as well as diverse bands, blessed stages all around the country, attempting at successfully diversifying his message.Some of the “regular” venues where he was recently spotted are Café’ Coco, Kijiji Coffee House, Lovenoise at the Bar Car and John Henry’s in Nashville, Tennesse.He has also performed for College Music Week at MTSU, the “Anyway You Bless Me” benefit concert in Murfreesboro, Tn, the “True Love Awaits” in Atlanta, Ga just to name a few.Reality has so far released two CD projects and an EP and he is currently working on his third CD project “Unorthodox” which is scheduled to be released in early 2008.One can hear his accurate and direct delivery on top of Hip Hop beats, Rock sounds and even Jazz melodies; truly this artist has mastered the ability to be versatile without selling out to commercial.
