About Me

Say YES to what is...because it already is. :-)There is a difference between pain and suffereing. Unlike pain (sore back, tooth ache, etc.), suffering can only occur in one place: the human mind. So what is my definition of suffering? When I mentally object to reality- or the way things already are. The moment I say something SHOULD NOT BE as it is, I suffer. For instance, the rain. How many times have I let the rain "ruin" my day? I had plans to do something, but the Universe had other ideas....now I have a choice to make, I can go with the flow (say yes!), or I can begin to mentally complain ("poor me," "why does this always happen?" "I would be having fun if it weren't for this", etc.).And while the rain is a relatively minor discomfort, the principle of suffereing is the same when something else changes... like when a physical body is no longer needed (popularly called death) or a special relationship changes/ends... can I still say yes then? Can I allow this moment to be as it is?Peace exists in the present moment...if you can't find it here, you wont find it anywhere.

My Interests
