About Me

I'm Ryan. I'm 23 and I've lived in Port Talbot most of my life, although I've had a short spell living in Aberdeen and Newcastle. I've had various jobs, the longest being 3 years in the RAF. I spent the 3 years traveling around with the military and was in the Falkland Islands playing for 3 bands before leaving to play with Tracy Welsh band, which broke up around august last year. I went on to play with The October Country (check my friends list), where we did a few gigs and spent some time in Notting Pill studios in Newport to finish the latest album, but unfortunately, due to musical differences, I've moved on once more and now I'm playing with This River(friends list), an awesome Neath based band with a massive following. I've played with loads of talented musicians and have made loads of friends all over the country, I've recently started playing in the all new blues jam at the New York tavern in Swansea, fronted by the Blues Cruise, and again I've met up with loads of cracking musicians. This was a drum solo i did ages ago, recorded at Builth Wells Motorcycle show, its by far not the best i can do, in fact I hate watching it, but unfortunately its the only one I've got on film so Its staying on here! ..

My Interests

I love watchin WALES play rugby and either throw a party or go down the local rugby club whenever any big games are on. Obviously I enjoy playing the drums and I've been playin for about 10 years, I actually started playing in school roughly the same time as my mate Dave the bass player and we both played togetherin the same first band with Dave's uncle.

If you've read this recently, you will probably remember me saying that I always wanted to meet Max Boyce, well, it's done! I've just put a photo in my pics, the only thing is, I want to meet him again, he's a brilliant guy, and a true Welshman, but i didnt really get a chance to talk to him properly, so hopefully, next time we'll be able to have a proper chat.
