THIS RIVER are a four peice melodic rock band from the Swansea valleys in South Wales. We are a very hard working, dedicated band that will stop at nothing to put on the greatest show that we possibly can!
We band have been together for 4 years and have played all over the UK and Portugal! We are searching for the ultimate goal...... A Record deal!
In September 2005 we entered a rock academy contest and after winning each round we arrived at the final in Northampton in November 05, ultimately becomming British Champions of the Rock acadermy beating over 3,000 British acts! Since then we have been going from strength to strength and adding to our ever expanding fan base!
We have just completad our 3 month Britith tour and enjoyed every minute of it, sleeping in peoples houses, travel taverns, dodgy b&b's and of course the back of the van, it all added to the touring experience?
The highlight of our year so far besides the tour has to be supporting HUNDRED REASONS and IDLEWILD ! What a night! And what great bands! We are hoping to play more gigs with them again! Over the last few years we have also supported LULU, THE FINE YOUNG CANIBALLS & RACHAL STEVENS!
For now though we are playin gigs around south and west wales uncluding the festivals, keep checking our upcomming shows! We look forward to seeing you all at our gigs......................
