Ragganoia.Sound© was founded in 1998 in Gütersloh/GERMANY by 5 Reggae-Lovin Youths and Record-Collectors, 19-25 years of age.
We are not a band. We are a reggae-dancehall soundsystem on the model of Jamaicas world famous music-machines. (For those who don..t know: A soundsystem is a group of people, who entertain the audience by playing reggae-records and exclusive audio-material - so called "dubplates" as well as entertaining on the microphone and adding special soundeffects and jingles to the mix of music.
The crew, nowadays consisting of, Sezcobar (Operator/Producer),Irio (Selector), Jawbone (MC, Selector, Design) & Gosh (Selector/Operator) is NOT based on a hype or musical fashion-trend, we set the foundation for a lot of uprising young sounds in Germany - Always being dedicated to the one thing we love most of all: Reggae-Music and its culture!
The musical variety of a typical Ragganoia night expands from the deepest Roots-Rock Reggae from back when to the freshest digital Dancehall tunes of today. Even a little bit of Hip-Hop, R..n..B and Soca is played when Ragganoia Soundcrew is in control... a musical trip and pure niceness!!
