BIO: TRINA TAYLOR

Stevie Nicks? Grace Slick? It has all been said before. Who does Trina Taylor sound like? You cannot pigeon hole her.

She is a powerhouse behind the mic and stands only 5ft tall. Trina is amazing to catch live, with her profound stage presence and uncanny way she can interpret each lyric.

Trina's story is about faith, and inspiration.

After witnessing a performance by Eddie Vedder on a live telethon shortly after the tragic events of 9/11. Trina was inspired and bought guitar off of Ebay. Trina taught herself how to play and a month later she wrote her first song. Three months later performed them on stage in some of New York's top clubs: China Club, Joe's Pub, Red Lion and selling out the Knitting Factory.

Trina quit her high profile job at a Hedge Fund, leaving her six-digit income behind and moved to Nashville, TN Not knowing but two people in Nashville, within a few months she met transplanted L.A. Producer, Doug Beiden. Together they recorded Trina's first CD in less than a year of Trina arriving in Nashville.

The fully mastered CD “Natural High” has attracted the attention of David Z, also known as David Rivkin, an award-winning producer, engineer, mixer, and writer who has an ability, as well as a knack, for finding and developing independent, cutting-edge artists into hugely impactful stars. Whether it be with Prince on “Purple Rain,” the Fine Young Cannibals on “The Raw and the Cooked,” Jonny Lang’s “Lie to Me,” Kenny Wayne Shepherd on“Ledbetter Heights,” or Big Head Todd & the Monsters’ “Sister Sweetly,” all had their careers take off by their early work with David. Trina is currently recording with David Z.
