About Me

Scott Tixier was Born February the 26th 1986 in Montreuil, in France.
His mother is one professor of Dance, she practises the classical piano too, and his father is an theatre producer/actor.
Scott Tixier in practised the ballet dance to the Conservatory and Modern jazz, Hip Hop dance in several work shop,
in same time he learn the theatre and to be on the stage under the management of his father (first show in the age of 5 years)
When he was 3 years old his parents put him in the “child class” of conservatory.
3 years later, at 6 years old he begins the violin.
He grows as a classical violin performer at the Montreuil Conservatory as well as at the 10th distric Paris National Conservatory.
It is as a teenager that Scott Tixier starts to study the jazz with his twin brother (Tony Tixier).
It doesn’ t take him long to be accepted as a student of famous performer as Florin Niculescu.
He also develops himself studying harmony with teacher like Malo Valois( petrucianni’ s teacher)
and Stephane Kochoyan. he works as professor of violin to the festival of the ENFANTS DU JAZZ(Stephane Kochoyan) since 2004
(before he was a trainee when he was 15 years old)
Over the last 5 years
Scott was invited to several master class with the finest jazz musician like Elvin Jones, Mc Coy Tyner, Bob Mintzer, Dave Libeman... -
In 2007, he wins the First prize of the "Trophées du Sunside", The most important Award for a young jazz musician in France. Some months later, it becomes established in New York.
After a period of working in the rap and hip-hop industry with people like K.C, M.HIGH.C prod, Handzup and others...
he works for the theatre (Pierre Palmade) cinema (Alban Capello) and television (film music) .
Scott Tixier now mainly performs with his twin brother Tony Tixier (piano) in different project ,quartet, quintet , electro, acoustic sessions etc...
He also perfoms in duet with composer Frederic Alice Orpheus.
