I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

top: 0px;" border="0" Well, as you can see I'm darn good lookin' but I don't make my money selling pretty pictures of myself. I'm the New York Times bestselling author and creator of The Sisters Grimm series. My books are all over the world and I'm adored by millions (well, maybe hundreds). Still, I'm an average joe living in New York City with my lovely wife Alison.

My Interests

Politics, music, art (you know, the usual load of doodie so that you all will think I'm cultured and interesting) movies, cooking, the gym, and my wife who is very interesting and nice to look at, too.

I'd like to meet:

I'm open to all types of people but I'm hoping this can be a place for folks who enjoy the books to congregate and a way to reconnect with some old friends. Other than that, I'd like to meet the little green guys who gave Ralph his suit on The Greatest American Hero.

Music:

Mostly old school punk (as there doesn't seem to be any new school punk) but I like all kinds of stuff. The White Stripes, The Killers, Queens of the Stone Age, Beck, Coldplay, Jane's Addiction, The Replacements, Elvis Costello, Talking Heads, Nirvana, The Ramones, Beastie Boys, 311, Metallica, Ryan Adams, The Donnas, KISS, Sex Pistols, MC5, The Darkness, Danger Will Robinson, Nine Inch Nails, Gorillaz, Parliment Funkadelic, The Mooney Suzuki, Gnarls Barkley, OK Go, Rooney, The Roots, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Johnny Cash, Eminem, Weezer, Mos Def, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Violent Femmes, Soundgarden, Rage Against The Machine.

Movies:

The Blues Brothers, Caddyshack, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Sin City, Fight Club, Raiders of the Lost Ark, A Christmas Story, Back to the Future, Cinema Paradiso, Napoleon Dynamite, Return of the Jedi, Spiderman, The Matrix, Little Miss Sunshine, Rushmore, Alien, American Movie, Stripes, Animal House, Ghostbusters, 28 Days Later, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, The Rear Window, A Man for All Seasons, The Seven Samurai, Metropolis, Men in Black, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, There's Something About Mary, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Sexy Beast, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill 1 and 2, Snatch, Annie Hall, Not Another Teen Movie, The Triplets of Bellville, Edward Scissorhands, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Dazed and Confused, A History of Violence.

Television:

Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Bones, Smallville, Dr. Who, Battlestar Galactica, Entourage, The Sopranos, Real Time with Bill Mahr, Meet the Press, The Best Week Ever, The Daily Show, Law and Order: SVU, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Books:

To Kill a Mockingbird, Of Mice and Men, The Time Traveler's Wife, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell, The Good Earth, Che, The Grapes of Wrath, The Golden Compass, The Gospel According to Biff: The Adventures of Jesus's Childhood Friend, Naked, Barrel Fever, Carter Beats the Devil, The Corrections, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, A People's History of the United States, The ESPN College Football Almanac, The Old Man and The Sea, oh, and I hear those Sisters Grimm books are incredible.

Heroes:

Superman is a great hero - alas, he is not real. Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., Helen Keller, The Dixie Chicks, Johnny Cash, Al Gore, Wes Andersen, Jon Stewart, the guy who invented the four year presidential term.
