Growing up in San Francisco, California, I came from a family that loved to dance. At four years old, I began taking ballet lessons and performing throughout the Bay Area. When I was ten, I discovered ballroom and decided to change my focus. I then hung up my ballet shoes and began training in both standard dance and Latin. By 13, I was competing and traveling all over the world.For me, dancing is a way of life. It provides a medium for me to express my inner feelings and passion all the while maintaining focus and composure during extremely high-pressure situations. It is dancing that has made me such a competitor (both on and off the floor) and made me strive for perfection in anything that I set out to do.ACHIEVEMENTS: 2006 Dancing With The Stars Champion Season 3, 2006 Dancing With The Stars Champion Season 2, Nominee Prime Time Emmy 2006 (Outstanding Choreography and Outstanding Art Direction for a Variety/Music Program/Special) 2005 World Cup Professional Rising Star Latin Champion, UK Championships, 4th in U.S. in the "Under 21s".
