Bonnie Everett-Hawkes....

has illustrated over 30 published children's books including an early reader emergent series. She began her publishing career in 1975 illustrating for Christian organizations and denominations. Her work has been included in Wee Ones, Confetti- Celebrations, Whimsey, Saplings, Dragonfly-Spirit and more.She has entertained at numerous schools, libraries, museums and festivals. She is a proud member of The Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators. She is also an accomplished portrait artist and a member of The Portrait Society of America. My Interests

My kids,My art, animals lots of animals, this includes my little chihuahuas, my two outside dogs, my old buggy horse, my chickens. I love antiques and browsing in old shops with junk. Love history and anything to do with the 19th century. Love farm life.Live on one.Crisp Fall days,Stormy nights,snowy days, Indiana,walks in the woods, the smell of leaves burning, a warm cozy fire in the fireplace on a cold winter day, long kisses, calls from my kids, midnight walks on the beach, happy smiles, smiling eyes,good wine, good friends, being with family, cooking a special meal for special people especially chicken for my boys,sewing something special for someone special.Forgiving and being forgiven, loving and being loved.Knowing I made someone happy.Knowing my art made someone happy.

All kinds from pop to classical especially strong on violin, Love Celtic and folk music.John Mellencamp, Jim Brickman, Josh Grogan,50's Rock and Roll.

Movies:

Mostly comical. Favorites are Blues Bros., O Brother Where Art Thou, Lady Killers, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Funny Farm,Pirates of the Carribean etc. you get the pic. Firmly believe that laughter is truly the best medicine.

Television:

Love all the CSI's, Without a Trace,Cold Case, Ghost Whisperer,Medium, anything psychic. The History Channel,Grey's Anatomy, Men in Trees, October Road.

Books:

Children's books of course.All the one's I have illustrated. Really love the new ones that are coming out like Capt Underpants, Of course I love my daughter's books too(www.angelinehawkes.com) and she and I have collaborated together in "The Adventures of Ratty Rat" I am a immensely proud mama of my beautiful and talented daughter.
