He immediately took a liking to DJing. While in junior high school, he made mix tapes for his friends and began DJing school dances. Keith Jones became one of the hottest young DJs in northern Ohio, participating in talent shows, MCing and DJing.
His true calling would not come from the turntables, it would come from radio. After a meeting with Cleveland on-air personality, Lynn Tolliver, Keith's path would be redirected. A faithful listener to WZAK and becoming a student of Tollivers would inspire Keith to want to become an on-air personality.
With aspirations of becoming the owner of a radio station, Keith enrolled into Columbus State and majored in Business Management. After beginning an internship with WCKX Power 107.5, Keith began to hone his skills and the character of Keith Jones, the on air personality. Along with being one of the best on-air personalities in Detroit and a member of The Hot Boyz, Keith is also an imminent arranger and producer.
Living by the words of his fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. , first of all, servants of all, we shall transcend all, Keith served as chapter historian and continues to participate in community service. From collecting school supplies for unfortunate families with school-aged children and collecting toys for Toys for Tots during the holiday season, Keith has continued to help others that are less fortunate.
