How Can I Go to School For Free?

When you enlist in the National Guard you can attend college free of cost by using the following benefits:

100% in State Tuition

The Army National Guard funds 100% of tuition costs and fees at all State Funded colleges and Vo-tech's such as NKU, EKU, Gateway, U of L, UK, WKU, Morehead and Murray State. Tuition Assistance is paid directly to the institution you attend and may be used in addition to the Montgomery G.I. Bill, Army National Guard G.I. Bill Kicker, Active Duty Montgomery G.I. Bill and Pell Grants.

Federal Tuition Assistance

The National Guard will fund up to $4,500 per fiscal year not to exceed $250 per semester hour. This is used when Kentucky National Guardsmen attend a private, out of state, or other than a state funded school.

Montgomery G.I. Bill

The Army National Guard offers the Selective Reserve Montgomery G.I. Bill to help with college expenses. This benefit pays you a stipend, up to $309 a month, while attending college as a full time student.

Montgomery G.I. Bill Kicker

If you qualify to have this added to your enlistment contract you can get additional 200 per month in addition to the normal G.I. Bill.

Student Loan Repayment

The Student Loan Repayment Program will pay up to $20,000 in qualifying student loans to those who have an existing student loan obligation at the time of enlistment in the Army National Guard.

Depending on what benefits you qualify for, our full time college students typically attend college for free and pocket between $503 up to $1400 per month. The higher rate is for students attending a college with an ROTC program such as EKU, U of L, UK, Morehead and Pikeville College.

Recruiter or Life Changer?

We had a guest speaker at our recruiter training this week who used to be a extremely successful "Guard" recruiter for 17 years. He referred to himself as a "Life Changer", and I agree! I do get paid to find people to join the "Guard", but it is not the number that counts and the end of the month, it is how many people's lives I have changed during that month. Call it what you will, but I am a life changer! For all of you who don't believe in the military, what is the worst thing that could happen by joining the "Guard"? Being called to active duty to assist in a blizzard or flood? Having to leave your warm home to save the lives or livelihood of others? Deployment? Ok, so you get sand or water in your boots and help another country establish voting centers or the right to vote. You help establish a sewer system or put a child in a school, who has never had the opportunity to do so. Yes, there is a big sacrifice in the event of a deployment and it takes someone extraordinary to step up and accept a challenge like I have asked many people to do. In return for your sacrifice to your country, you travel, get paid to do so, get free college tuition and most of all, can tell your kids or grandkids, you were part of history! Part of the strongest, most dominant "Military" known to mankind. So don't be satisfied with being ordinary. Pick up the phone and let this life changer, get you on track to being in an organization you can be proud of! Let me help you , learn how to change the lives of others. Even if you think this is a possibility for you. Drop me a line even to ask a question. (859) 609-9111 P.S. $20.000 joining bonus for your bravery!
