During Operation Desert Storm, I wrote a letter to my nephew to boost his spirits. After I wrote it, it was decided it should be sent to as many of our troops as possible. Deeming the best way to reach more than my nephew was with music, I narrated it with the background music America The Beautiful. I joined a support group called MASH and we used the song to raise money for packages to be sent overseas..Quickly , it went all around the world & became known on TV stations ,radio, & The Naval ; oveseas radio stations played it on a regular basis. It was sent in every package to the soldiers from the MASH group. It was carried in their knap sacks on the front line. Who knows where this letter went..It was used to help support our troops then & now I want to share it again, this time with our troops in Iraq.
