About Me

DEAD END JANE introduces its newest member!

Please welcome J. DOUGLAS BARBER.

Raised by wolves in the wild of the great outdoors, his elders sent him out to the city, where he would interact with beings of his own kind for the first time. Dougs first guitar was given to him by the packs Alpha male after a grisly encounter with an unfortunate wayward traveler. Also included with the mans belongings were classic recordings by the likes of the Who, and Kyuss. Sent off to fend for himself, he wandered into the city of angels, which he would make his new dwelling. It was here that he was assimilated to the world as we know it. Knowing only music and the sounds that echoed from his guitar, he soon began playing with various musical projects, and subsequently through doing so, he met Bastian Kirchdoerfer of Dead End Jane. After bonding through alcohol and various forms of mind altering substances they became close friends eventually leading to Dougs introduction to Bourke Armour, and Johan Lindh. More alcohol was consumed One day, Dead End Jane needed a new guitarist, and when the moons aligned they gathered in a small sweaty room with overdriven tube amplifiers, low end growl and a meaty set of (fore)skins. The room exploded, and thus it gave way to a new chapter in the book of Dead End Jane.

We welcome Doug to the family and are very happy to have him on board.

Be excited and ready for the new face of DEAD END JANE!!!

DEAD END JANE Biography

Dead End Jane: For those who want to rock........
this band if for you!!

Dead End Jane's original hard riff music is bringing Rock n' Roll back to its days of glory. They are influenced by AC/DC, Guns n'Roses, Aerosmith, Jimi Hendrix, etc. Their direct rock riffs and...feel good lyrics bring to the audience what Rock n' Roll is all about.

Bourke Armour (the only USA native in this bunch) leads Dead End Jane with his rough and raspy, whiskey throat vocal style, chunky rhythm guitar and gutsy stage presence.

German drummer Bastian Kirchdoerfer has toured throughout Europe with "Barock," Europe's number one AC/DC tribute band, and drives his monstrous sound with severe conviction.

Swedish bassist Johan Lindh's timing, but most importantly his groove, are the perfect match for the band's rock style.

In July 2006 J. Douglas Barber joined the band on lead guitar

Together, the four have come to form Dead End Jane-a powerful, raw, and authentic rock band dedicated to hit every stage like a solid punch, keeping their audiences riveted for the entire night of music.

In April 2006, Rock City News awarded Dead End Jane "Best Rock Act" of 2006. DEJ was on the cover of the April 14th issue and given an extremely positive record review, and also featured with photots in the following April 29th issue.

This forceful music band has been selling out gigs since early 2004 at many legendary Los Angeles culbs such as the Whisky a Go-Go, Roxy Theatre, and the Knitting Factory. They have opened for renowned musicians such as Chris Slade of AC/DC, Teddy Zig-Zag of Guns n' Roses, Nashville Pussy, Home Grown, Rusty Anderson of the Paul McCartney Band, members of Alice Cooper, Quiet Riot and other international acts.

Dead End Jane has been reigning over the radio stations in Germany on Radio Galaxy and Rockin' Radio, and also hitting the waves down under in Australia on FBi 94.5 FM Whiplash. Streaming on the internet, Dead End Jane performed live on March 21st of 2006 on www.flashrock.com where the live act can be accessed 24/7.

In March of 2006, Dead End Jane's highly anticipated debut album "Nicotine Queen," was successfully released. CD's are availabe at www.cdbaby.com , their homepage: www.dead-end-jane.com or at Amoeba Records on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood.

Helping them to push their sound in full strength, Dead End Jane has been asked to play BREAKER FESTIVAL and ROCKHARZ OPEN AIR fesival in Gemany, summer 2006, with other respected bands such as Leave's Eyes, Atrocity, Jon Olivia's Pain, Paul DeAnno, and other well known bands in the German Rock and Metal Scene.

With Dead End Jane at the helm, Rock n' Roll is coming back with a full force; reviving the music the world truly wants to hear: PURE ROCK N' ROLL!!! Dead End Jane will be touring in the USA and Europe territoriew throughout 2006...so catch them when you can!
