DEAD END JANE introduces its newest member!
Please welcome J. DOUGLAS BARBER.
Raised by wolves in the wild of the great outdoors, his elders sent him out to the city, where he would interact with beings of his own kind for the first time. Dougs first guitar was given to him by the packs Alpha male after a grisly encounter with an unfortunate wayward traveler. Also included with the mans belongings were classic recordings by the likes of the Who, and Kyuss. Sent off to fend for himself, he wandered into the city of angels, which he would make his new dwelling. It was here that he was assimilated to the world as we know it. Knowing only music and the sounds that echoed from his guitar, he soon began playing with various musical projects, and subsequently through doing so, he met Bastian Kirchdoerfer of Dead End Jane. After bonding through alcohol and various forms of mind altering substances they became close friends eventually leading to Dougs introduction to Bourke Armour, and Johan Lindh. More alcohol was consumed One day, Dead End Jane needed a new guitarist, and when the moons aligned they gathered in a small sweaty room with overdriven tube amplifiers, low end growl and a meaty set of (fore)skins. The room exploded, and thus it gave way to a new chapter in the book of Dead End Jane.
We welcome Doug to the family and are very happy to have him on board.
Be excited and ready for the new face of DEAD END JANE!!!
DEAD END JANE Biography
Dead End Jane: For those who want to rock........
this band if for you!!
Dead End Jane's original hard riff music is bringing Rock n' Roll back to its days of glory. They are influenced by AC/DC, Guns n'Roses, Aerosmith, Jimi Hendrix, etc. Their direct rock riffs and...feel good lyrics bring to the audience what Rock n' Roll is all about.
Bourke Armour (the only USA native in this bunch) leads Dead End Jane with his rough and raspy, whiskey throat vocal style, chunky rhythm guitar and gutsy stage presence.
German drummer Bastian Kirchdoerfer has toured throughout Europe with "Barock," Europe's number one AC/DC tribute band, and drives his monstrous sound with severe conviction.
Swedish bassist Johan Lindh's timing, but most importantly his groove, are the perfect match for the band's rock style.
In July 2006 J. Douglas Barber joined the band on lead guitar
