What do Oscar Winner Jamie Foxx, Janet Jackson, Snoop Dog, Tyrese Gibson, Kobe Bryant, Kanye West, Jermaine Dupri, Heather Headley, Absolut vodka, Nike, and Fed Ex have in common? Besides being counted among the leaders in a who's who of globally recognized brands, professional athletes, music artists, actors, and celebrities, each of them has been a client of creative director, photographer, graphic artist and branding impresario Marcus Redd.
When it comes to conceptualizing and creating impactual and memorable icons and images that instantly capture the imagination and bolsters brand identity consumers, be they individuals or corporations, seek the visionary direction of MRM - - MARCUS REDD MEDIAWORKS.
Redd not only honed his skills in the art of photography, video & film production, graphics and multi-media technology but became a master of their applications in marketing and branding applications.
From a modest home studio in South Central Los Angeles, notorious for its late 1980's early 1990's gang activity, Redd not only witnessed the evolution of a city in turmoil and its quest for evolution, but was often a catalyst and "spin lab” for numerous would be models, actors, and other entertainers. One by one Redd created outstanding visuals for his clients. This made him one of the city's most sought after creative directors and his company a bastion in the entertainment business.
In the late 1990's and early 2000's as "The City of Angels" - - rebounded and sought greater diversity from its talent pool in the entertainment industry Redd's studio became a hotbed for many of music, entertainment and sports’ most recognizable figures. As the demand for unique and cutting-edge imagery grew, so too did the demand for the immediate turn-a-round of branding collateral. This included every form of marketing tool from websites, headshots, portfolios, comp cards, EPK's, music videos, documentaries, and promotional slicks to voice-overs, television & radio commercials, printed media campaigns, live presentations and more. The demand for a Redd-inspired promo piece spawned a new era in his business model. The entrepreneur responded with a "one stop shop" approach to getting it all done!
But getting it all done was not enough. In line with Redd's incredible business savvy, a keen sense of art, line and visual impact, each promotional piece that left his studio was for many, a ticket to stardom. He amassed a team of stylists, designers, make-up artists, hair stylists, photographers, editors, and graphic artists that would be the envy of any Madison Avenue advertising firm.
In the summer of 2006 Redd created MRM, the latest transition in a series of evolutions specifically catering to the needs of the company’s expanding clientele base and changing consumer demand. This multi-media powerhouse provides clients with the kind of cutting-edge and creative atmosphere necessary to conceptualize, shoot, edit, re-touch, layout, print and assemble their collateral all under one roof.
