I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
First of all, I'm not Dilana! :) I'm just another "big time" new admirer/"fan" (hate the word fan though...lol), since seeing her never disappoint on RockStar Super Nova, and wanted to start an attempt at a Dilana tribute/fan page here on myspace.com.
Second, my original/personal page on here is as my REAL self, Sky Blue Hope. Regina is my real first name and Sky Blue Hope has been my "pseudonym" for poetry and now graphic art since about 1993, when I chose it for symbolic reasons. I used to do some hand drawing, mostly really intricate/"fancy" 3D text/lettering art. Anyway, the link to my page is www.myspace.com/skybluehope in case you want to know more about who it is "authoring"/designing this page. The background designs on this page and my own personal page, including my MySpace group pages, are ALL originally created graphics/designs, made by me using my own software programs such as Bryce 5, Visions of Chaos, to name just a couple for examples. ONCE IN AWHILE I'LL CHANGE IT AND USE A MYSPACE WEB LAYOUT design, to hopefully let the page load faster. But usually it's done using my own art as the background. I change it around fairly regularly.
All the poetry in/on my Sky Blue Hope page is also entirely original and all written by me. Some are better than others, and they range in subject matter. Occasionally I'll be in the mood to post a blog that are lyrics to someone's song. I'll put all the appropriate credits to those when I do them, of course!! :) It's funny, I love certain other people's song lyrics, but reading poetry as just poetry, was always a boring prospect to me, even though now I write poetry myself. I'd like to think some would make for good song lyrics too. And there is a link on my page to a couple of sites that has most of my poems, (the ones I chose to put .. anyway.) Believe me, reading some of my old poetry is a lot like having to look in the mirror and not liking always what you see, it's hard. So, I can't even bare to read some of my older poems, let alone put them .....LOL :)
Enough about me, let's talk about Dilana. She needs her fans support and continued encouragement more than ever. Video footage of all of her performances can currently still be seen on the official Rock Star Super Nova website, linked here:
rockstar.msn.com
Okay also, I will strive for everything I add in here regarding Dilana, a step at a time, is as accurate as it can possibly be. I'll be adding more links (as I find them) to Dilana site's, Dilana pics (orig. screen caps), Dilana audio bytes from her current status as a "rocker"/contestant on CBS's "Rock Star Super Nova", as
UPDATE: Dilana came in second and Lukas Rossi won the coveted "prize" of fronting Super Nova (Tommy Lee, Gilby Clarke and Jason Newsted). But I shall always remain a devoted Dilana "fan" (hate the word fan though...lol), and this page will stay, for Dilana, forever!! She's solid gold, and I just know she meant it when she promised all of her fans to never give up and come out with a killer cd. Can't wait for that!! END UPDATE
ABOUT DILANA:
Dilana Robichaux was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and started singing at a very young age. Dilana Robichaux gave her first professional appearance at the age of seven. She left school at the age of 16 to to sing in a traveling duo.
After years of performing in various cover bands, Dilana Robichaux left her homeland for the Netherlands to pursue her musical career.
Robichaux started her own band and quickly became one of the most popular and well-paid bands as they opened for international powerhouses including Golden Earring.
A tattooed and, more importantly, tremendously talented singer and songwriter, Dilana counts Tina Turner as just one of many of her musical idols. And it’s easy to see why.
Just as Tina carried the explosive gusto and fierce appeal of the big boys, so does Dilana, a thoughtful and direct woman who immediately communicates serious rocker cred.
Robichaux's debut album, Wonderfool, had five singles on it and she ended making four videos which ended up on MTV Europe. During her tour for the Wonderfool album, Dilana performed at over 200 festivals and clubs across Europe. At one spot, Dilana played alongside Joe Cocker, Heather Nova and K's Choice.
Dilana Robichaux moved to the United States in October, 2001. Dilana currently resides in Houston, Texas. Her birthday is August 10, 1972.
