Can't find what you like? Make it yourself....

About Me

TCPL (Trans Canada Parking Lot) was conjured into existence in April 2000, after realizing that there wasn't enough music in the music stores that I liked. So I set out to make it myself. The music has changed a fair bit over the last while, starting with a more experimental style, eventually merging into the electronica dancy stuff, and then REALLY turning the corner towards what I really wanted to do the whole time but had no knowledge of how to do it. Now I do.
The current incarnation of TCPL is actually in the form of a collective, instead of a band or artist name. What has happened is that the band formerly known as TCPL had disbanded in an amicable way, and the two main components of the band (Rob D and Kyle K) are now working on their own material, but still crossing paths to work with the others' material.
So TCPL is now known as a collective of bands and artists. Not quite a label, but more of a "house." Under this roof lies a group of artists/bands who want to do something good. TCPL also endorses many bands who are not a part of this collective. Friends of TCPL, shall we say?
It should also be taken into account that the main artists involved with TCPL include Rob's main project, Rezonatti ( www.rezonatti.com ), Kyle's solo effort, Combined Heroes ( http://www.myspace.com/combinedheros ), and Rob's side project, Spaciallure ( www.tcpl.net/spaciallure ).

Might as well make this official..

(Rob) Jon is an excellent drummer.  He's self-taught, likes to play fast, and can come up with some pretty cool ideas for songs that don't sound entirely mainstream to begin with. Unfortunatel...

Garage Door Rock

Ah, the irony. Right, so we will no longer be practicing in the garage at Jon's house.  It seems the neighbours across the alley raised kids who are unable to respect others, in this case by thr...
