Try the BEST MySpace Editor at MySpace Toolbox !Kerem Tuzun, a.k.a. KT, is a bassist extraordinaire from Istanbul who's been rocking out crowds since the early nineties . If you've ever seen him play you could have sworn he's been living and breathing this instrument all his life, but actually it was only in college that he got started on the bass. His first music studies were in the state Radio / TV children's choir which was followed by two years of clarinet performance at the Municipal Conservatory. "Boring...." he shouts, "I needed to start a band". And many he did. His bands include Ten On the Richter Scale, Nuh'un Gemisi (Noahs Arc), Toys, Contrast, Cockroach, and the most commercially succesful one of all, Kurban. Kurban has released three albums to date (Kurban 1999, Sert 2004, Insanlar 2005), and after a short breakup in 2005, is now reunited. In the meantime KT just would not stop playing of course. Weekly bar gigs with Hucumkedi and concerts across the country with the guitar virtuoso Demir Demirkan allowed him to keep his chops in top shape. It was also around this time that he setup his home studio and started experimenting with some solo ideas. The first of those tracks to come out, "Can You Feel It"(out on Morrison, summer 2007), summarizes a lot about KT's philosophy: unfaltering energy, absolute precision, and commitment to funk. For KT, recognition has become a double-edged sword because his highly sought after skills now make it difficult for him to develop solo projects. Always up for a collaboration, he recently joined Nekropsi, acclaimed experimental rockers, and recorded on their 2006 album.
