Deja-Vu is a Turkish rock band which won Turkey's reputable music competition, Roxy Music Days, in the year 2004. They introduce ethnic elements into rock, nu-metal and ska and sing in Turkish. Deja-Vu worked on its debut album "Kendin Cos" with producer Oguz Kaplangi, and the album was released by Elec-Trip Records at the end of June, 2005.
Deja-Vu is a new, original and energetic new comer into the Turkish rock scene. Deja-Vu uses the Turkish baglama in its songs where the themes of the songs range from love to betrayal and to politics. However, even the gloomiest lyrics are played with positive melodies and the stage performances end up having a tremendous energy. Deja-Vu has performed at many successful concerts clubs all over and in Anatolian as well as big city universities alike. They have an ever increasing number of fans among teenagers.
Their music video for the song "Kendin Cos" directed by Cem Gul has stayed in the number one position for 4 weeks on Dream TV's (Turkish music channel) top ten videos, and it has also appeared on MTV World Chart Express. Their second video was shot for the song called "O-HA!". The video was directed by Mehmet Kösemen. Deja-Vu's third video was shot for the song "Oylesine" by director Saygin Ay.
