The Darksuits

Last night I woke up and I lost all my talents.

About Me

...If you are a fan of The Toadies, Silverchair, or REM, you will surely find yourself hooked to The Darksuits. Aggressive guitars, melodic riffs, untraditional rhythms, and spacey synth effects are a few of the key ingredients that define their unique sound. The band, which has now been together for over a year began when Trevor and Aaron met in elementary school. Trevor's extensive background in guitar and organ and creative song writing meshed immediately with Aaron's classical percussion training. However, Trevor later moved to Fayetteville creating a rift in their musical connection. The move was not entirely in vain though. While in Fayetteville, Trevor met fellow student Tom Fetner, who proved to be a valuable asset with his unorthodox bass techniques. Years later, the three recently graduated students all enrolled at the University of Arkansas, where Trevor and Aaron were reunited. Now, with their new bassist, The Darksuits began formulating their own unique sound that some have described as a hybrid between Folk, Rock, and Electronica. At their debut show, they played alongside another great Fayetteville band called Phantazmelodia. Upon hearing The Darksuits, Phantazmelodia's lead guitarist, Sam Dudley, asked Trevor to join them as a keyboardist and backup vocalist. He decided to accept the opportunity while still keeping The Darksuits his primary concern. Several months later, Phantazmelodia had to make another tough decision by dropping their second drummer and bringing Aaron into the mix. This obviously created a major problem for the two Darksuits, who now had to stagnate their musical connection with Tom. However, only a few months into the project, Phantazmelodia disbanded due to creative differences and the failure to produce their second album. Putting differences aside, Trevor, Aaron, and Sam rejoined with Tom and decided to dust off some of The Darksuits' material. From the first note, the four musicians connected not just musically, but also personally and creatively. After only a few months, they had made a substantial name for themselves among the Fayetteville music community as well as produced their first EP album and music video (all produced by The Darksuits). Now having been together for over a year, they have refined their sound to a new dimension. They are The Darksuits.
