My name is Andrew Love. 22 years of age from Edinburgh in Scotland. I have just completed three years studying a Diploma in Sound Production at college and I am hoping to move onto bigger and better things!
Currently about to embark on a 4 year degree in Festival & Event Management!I have been working in the Scottish Rave Scene for the past three and a half years as an MC. Played many of the biggest and best events our scene has to offer currently. Also help do a lot of PR work for friends Old Skool and Hardcore/Hardstyle nights.
Further down is a list of where I have played and up coming gigs.
At the moment I am producing various styles of dance music to cater for different scenes. My music tastes are very broad and I am open minded when it comes to listening to new things. I always like to give an honest opinion if I hear a genre of music that might not be to my taste personally, but I can see where the producer has tried to take it.
I have a built in studio in my bedroom running Reason 3 at the moment. Also use Cubase SX 3, Recycle and Wavelab. Back in 2004 I was very fortunate to win the Radio Forth Tom Wilson Award for which I received a grant of £1000 to put towards furthering my music career. This money was spent on studio gear which has allowed me to progress a great deal rather than having to depend on others equipment or relying purely on college facilities to crack on!
I am very passionate about Dance music and have been as far as back I remember. Many young people go through phases of liking certain genres of music and are constantly chopping and changing. I have always stayed real to my passion and have my musical tastes opened up constantly by hearing other styles of Dance.
My favourite styles of Dance include old skool/old skool hardcore/rave/techno/early to mid 90's breakbeat core/Trance/Hard Trance/Tech-Trance/Hardstyle/Hard House/Gabba/Club Anthems, Piano House, Vocal House and Commercial Dance. Generally a bit of everything! Also love orchestral music and the power of opera! People that are talented enough to be able to project so much power on stage with their voice are gifted people!
My career in life would be to work in the entertainment business in which ever direction it takes me. Being able to produce music (many styles) for a living would be ideal. We shall see what happens :)
