Insomniac aka Suneil Seegobin is a fresh face on the electro/club house scene and is making strides in churning out exciting and energetic tracks in order to establish his artist and continue to enjoy hopeful success in the future. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland but of Mauritian background, Insomniac’s thirst for music took hold of him at a tender age of 12 when he was introduced to the culture of American hip-hop through the emergence of cable television. His fascination of this genre stretched to a vast range of different styles including early g-funk, west coast, east coast and turntablism, which then led to an obsession of collecting albums. His musical inspiration took an even bigger twist when a brief spell of living in Barcelona, Spain between 1999-2001 opened Insomniac’s eyes to the world of house, techno and trance. The culture of sun, sand and clubbing enheighten his enthusiasm for all types of electronic music, and his loves for both genres still goes on strong until today and fuelled his desire to fulfil his ambition as a top international artist . After spending the best part of 4 years studying music and sound production, and putting in extra individual effort to master the concepts of dj-ing and production from home, 2008 will be a huge year for the young producer in terms of showcasing his progress.
