Dj Reflection born in Hartford Connecticut was introduced to turntabalism at the age of 19 while enrolled at Lenoir-Rhyne college on a football scholarship. At that time Reflection began sharpening his mixing and blending techniques by performing at all the colleges fraternity parties and local clubs in Hickory NC. By the end of his sophomore year his love for music overtook his passion for football, so he transferred to Winston-Salem State University to be closer to home and to expand his new found djing career. While attending the school Reflection got on the club scene by opening parties for Tommy Gee who was one of the top djs in the area. During that time he was building his street buzz by giving away free party tapes to party promoters and doing alot of free events.At an event the young protege was performing at he was approached by a on air personality from 102 Jamz and was offered a internship at the radio station. The station opened alot of doors for Reflection and gave him a popular name enabling him to start doing parties for artist such as TI,Noreaga, R. Kelly, Young Buck, Lil Scrappy and the list goes on. After three years interning at jamz, Reflection was offered a mixshow at Fayetteville's WZFX Foxy 99 (The 5 o clock Takeover). So Reflection began traveling from Greensboro to Fayetteville everyday which is about a two hour drive. During the time of working in Fayetteville, Jamz opened up a Sunday night mixshow which was offerd to him and he accepted the position. So at the age of21 Dj Reflection was holding down two mixshows in two major markets in North Carolina. In 2004 Reflection wanted to add another element to his djing resume and got into the mixtape game.With his innovative intro's, smooth blends and hot exclusives he soon caught the attention of mobile music marketing in NYC in which the company offered him a distribution deal for his mixtapes. The sudden demand for Dj Reflection's mixtapes opened up a slot on AOL Radio mixtapes where you can listen to a show 24/7 7 days a week. He has even made appearances on B.E.T' s Rapcity and 106 and Park. As of now the young star has begun his new marketing company called Hevi Rotation in which he plans to market and promote new talent across the country, and also market a variety of companies and there products. He is also a member of Bumsquad Djs, Hitmenn djs, Southern Grind, Black wallstreet and Shadyville djs. With all the talent in the world the still young phenom strives to be the best at whatever he does and will continue to expand his business and come up with innovative ways to combine hip hop, djing and the corporate world together.
