Sounds Like: 'Tongue and Groove's 'Born to Gallivant' is a work of genius. Hilarious and fond tales sung in glorious Cornish accent's of living in a bedsit in Penzance. Geevor mine ("Thatcher had a reason/ but we had a cause"), state spongers (Cabin fever), and various Penwith characters - one of whom, Dare Mason, produced the album. It's all hooked to snotty rock tunes akin to AC/DC and the Sex Pistols - The knowing dig at a certain type of Cornishman, 'Pasty powered' is a Kernwek cousin to the Beastie boys 'Fight for your right to party' Highly recommended. - Lee Trewhella (Cornishman/West Briton)
'What can I say!!!
Thanks for playing - you rocked Lafrowda more than its ever been rocked before!!
Stewards having to hold up crush barriers to stop moshpit spilling over...at Lafrowda? Only when T&G are in town!!
Until next time.....keep on gallivanting!' - Kevin Godden (Lafrowda Festival)
