Playing 'Chig Fest 2008' near Bude this Sunday!

About Me

Hailing from Penzance Cornwall, Tongue & Groove are a 5 piece rock outfit that share a mutual love of all things Cornish and very loud guitar music. We pride ourselves on being the most GRANITE band to ever come out of Cornwall, and since being signed to St Buryan records in the autumn of 2007 the band has gone from strength to strength with some truly RIGHT ON live performances. So come and see us live and/or get our album now! (CD available @ www.tongueandgroove.bigcartel.com) 'Born to gallivant' album mastered in New York by Dan Grigsby. (www.dangrigsby.com) 'Pasty powered' live at 'Kernowstock' St Ives/Sazbah (24/5/08)

Sounds Like: 'Tongue and Groove's 'Born to Gallivant' is a work of genius. Hilarious and fond tales sung in glorious Cornish accent's of living in a bedsit in Penzance. Geevor mine ("Thatcher had a reason/ but we had a cause"), state spongers (Cabin fever), and various Penwith characters - one of whom, Dare Mason, produced the album. It's all hooked to snotty rock tunes akin to AC/DC and the Sex Pistols - The knowing dig at a certain type of Cornishman, 'Pasty powered' is a Kernwek cousin to the Beastie boys 'Fight for your right to party' Highly recommended. - Lee Trewhella (Cornishman/West Briton)
'What can I say!!! Thanks for playing - you rocked Lafrowda more than its ever been rocked before!! Stewards having to hold up crush barriers to stop moshpit spilling over...at Lafrowda? Only when T&G are in town!! Until next time.....keep on gallivanting!' - Kevin Godden (Lafrowda Festival) Get the banner! - http://www.sendspace.com/file/vuug76

111 Steps to heaven

The only admission price for this gig was the 111 steps you have to climb to get there. The Jacob's Ladder has to be one of the most challenging venues in Cornwall, I was going to say dirtiest but tha...
