Groove Armada have just been confirmed as headliners for the Friday (August 8th)and The Pigeon Detectives for the Saturday (August 9th) of Rip Curl Boardmasters Unleashed music festival. Also spread over the two stages so far there is the Zutons , Audio Bullys , Morcheeba , The Futureheads , Mystery Jets , Gallows , Ghost Of A Thousand and loads more (check the blog for full lineup). Latest names added are Reverend And The Makers , The Young Knives , Cage The Elephant , Jersey Budd and The Holloways . There is going to be a third stage, hosted by monthly clubnight 'The Tuck Shop' , putting on the best of local bands. Art Brut , whose wit and enduring charm have won them fans the world over, are set to appear at the Princess Pavilion on August 12th as part of the music portion of Falmouth Week. Support comes from The Infadels and local favourites I Say Marvin . Tickets are £12.50 from seetickets or the venue box office at 01326 211222.
Also appearing during Falmouth is Gabrielle Cilmi who burst onto the music scene earlier this year with her huge single 'Sweet About Me'. Xavier Rudd , known for his virtuoso ability to play aboriginal instruments as well as lap guitar, foot boxes and harmonica, returns to the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth on August 20th. Read more info here.
One Night Only are certainly one of the bands of 2008 so far, and the teenage five-piece show no signs of stopping. Lucky for us though as they are set to appear at Falmouth's Princess Pavilions on October 6th. Tickets for the show are £10.50 in advance. Read more info here. .
