The countdown to Europe’s biggest surf, skate and music festival has officially begun. The Rip Curl Boardmasters in association with Relentless Energy Drink will return for a 27th year to Newquay from 4th – 10th August 2008 for its biggest event to date and an epic week of world class action sports and music.  

This year’s events include a fierce 5* Men’s World Qualifying Series (WQS) surf contest, the UK leg of the Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Tour, Vans Summer Session Vert skate and Eastpak Miniramp contests. Alongside premier sporting action will be the Boardmasters trade village and Foster’s Beach Bar showcasing 5 nights of the biggest and best live music acts at the iconic Fistral beach.

August 8th and 9th plays host to the Rip Curl Boardmasters Unleashed music festival overlooking Watergate Bay. 35 internationally renowned acts will play across two live stages which have been previously graced by the likes of Razorlight, Feeder, ASH, Newton Faulkner and last year’s headliner, Paolo Nutini, as well as supporting up and coming acts like The Ting Tings.
