About Me

Nicholas Mailing is a musician/ producer currently residing in the south of England...... "I'll spare you the details. Started playing with The Pecadiloes, wrote some songs, signed to A&M Records/ EMI Publishing, released some records and toured all over the shop, worked with producers Russ Russell, Al Stone, Phil Vinal, Ian Caple, Mark Waterman, John Bell, amongst others, left The Pecadiloes, produced/ producing records for The Deserters, The Quireboys, Black Ramps, Spike Grey, Trash Light Vision, The Fairies Band, The Smoking Hearts, Valentine Stitch, Sister Ray, The Whybirds, amongst others, produced a record as Black Eyed Dog with a life long friend, Nick Smart, a genius musician and Trumpet player, toured with them as a vocalist, played/ playing bass for The Ravines, The Quireboys, Men Of Unitus, Sister Ray, The Smoking Hearts, .......so far......"

I try and listen to as much as I can. You can sometimes learn as much from something you don't like, as from something you do. Everything deserves a listen at least once. John Peel taught me that. I wish I'd met him.

Finished the mixes last Saturday for The Whybirds album and E.P. We took a couple of weeks out after the main bulk of the session to live with the tracks for a while as there are 16 songs to deal with...
