Black Ramps

About Me

visualise a programmer, teenage science fiction convention organiser and kindly woodsman trapped in the bodies of an early nineties indie rock band. unconventional yet somehow compelling. shying away from reality (which, lets face it is pretty tedious), the ramps fractious rythms and scrabble lyrics re-interpret seventies pop culture through the cut-paste aesthetic of william burroughs, the riddler and robert rauschenberg. with luck on every finger dreams come true; radio, interviews, phonecalls from heros, awesome live shows and too many kind words from strangers about music that was never meant to be loved.

slack sorcerers - making noise, playing shows, trashing radio - awkward guitars, rad fashions, void patterns, midnight snacks, (deli)counter attacks, geography, home science, freeze framing, scratches on old films, pavement, sonic youth, grandaddy, sebadoh, dinasaur jr, built to spill...

appearances with the likes of; LES SAVY FAV, PART CHIMP, awesome color, the cribs, nine black alps, dragonflies draw flames, the research, future corpses, former bullies and red fishes...
