About Me

Check out my MUSIC!!!

And my Tribe site!
http://people.tribe.net/erinpillman
I find myself in a transition place in life. I am ready to move to a new place--maybe the Bay Area, or maybe Hawaii for awhile. I am open to other options as well, if an amazing opportunity presents itself.
I am calling out for and deeply grateful for support in making this move.
As a landing space, I am open to house sitting, pet sitting, community housing, work exchange, or staying with friends. I'd like to live somewhere clean, sunny, and peaceful within a loving and supportive community.
I have many skills and talents. I studied Pre-Med in college and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish, so I speak/read/write Spanish fluently. I am an experienced and certified yoga instructor and have created a yoga DVD, which is available on Amazon.com. I have also in the last year co-founded a holistic health center in Wisconsin, and was CEO of the company. I have trained and worked preparing raw and vegan food in some pioneering establishments in NYC, and also have a solid resume of 10 years waitressing experience (ranging from small town cafes to high-end NYC restaurants). Additionally, I am an experienced substitute teacher, which has been my work here in New Mexico, and have, in the past, worked as the director of sales for the Resident's Survival Guide in NYC and as a personal assistant, also in NYC.
For nourishment, I love to sing, dance, celebrate, travel, write, practice yoga, and eat the most healthful foods possible.
So, if you feel, "Yes, this is exactly the woman for this situation," please do let me know immediately so I can take the necessary steps. Clearly, this is a very important shift for me and I am really excited about becoming part of, and contributing my gifts to, a supportive and loving Community.
Please email me with links and good information, or best, a landing place and a healthful situation to get to work in.
Thank You.
In Gratitude, Erin
I am a Truth seeker.
I am grateful for my life and all life. I am grateful for my human family. I am grateful for the four-leggeds, the winged ones, the plant people, and the rock people. And for our beautiful Mother Earth who pulls us to her body in each moment of our lives through a force we call gravity.
I am enjoying each step on this beautiful path called life and my purpose on this Earth becomes clearer everyday. I lay down my life on the sacred altar and surrender my life to Spirit in service to the Highest Good of All.
I facilitate healing through Music, Storytelling, Yoga, Poetry, Photography, and Love. My deepest desire is to realize God and directly experience Oneness with the Universe. My Path is Divine Truth, Joy, Love, Peace, and Light.
I am a web weaver and a storyteller. I love to network and connect people, weaving the web of humanity with their tales as the thread.
At one point I thought that the best way to help people heal was to become an MD, so I completed a pre-medical program of study in college. I began to awaken from a deep Midwestern sleep while I studied abroad for a year in Madrid, Spain during college. I realized there are better ways for me to facilitate healing.
I completed my college degree, becoming fluent in Spanish in the process, and returned to the US where I experienced extreme culture shock, having expanded my consciousness to realize the truth of the role of the U.S. in the world.
So I bought a plane ticket and a backpack and I went on a 4-month solo backpacking adventure through Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Panama. A beautiful journey, within and without, as I discovered the sea of truth within my very own heart!
Then back to the US for another round of culture shock. “Where could I go where people were more conscious,” I asked myself? So I drove from Minneapolis to the East Coast to visit friends, and decided to move to New York City. I drove back to Minneapolis, loaded up my possessions in a U-Haul, and moved to "The City."
Shortly after arriving, my path led me to the Dharma Yoga Center, where I found my beloved teacher Dharma Mittra--a patient, humble, pure-hearted yogi who has been teaching yoga in New York City for over forty years. At the Dharma Yoga Center I also found an important part of my spiritual family, and powerful, ancient teachings that transformed my life in a profoundly beautiful way.
Dharma encouraged us to "eat raw" which led me to Jubb's Longevity, where I learned about health and nutrition and underwent another amazing transformation by eating primarily raw vegan organic fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. This diet became unsustainable for me, but I do appreciate its high intentions. And I appreciate the cleansing of my body and social conditioning that it facilitated.
In December I left my beloved home in the East Village of Manhattan to live in my beautiful hometown on Lake Michigan called Sheboygan for awhile. It's very sacred land, with the healing waters of Lake Michigan lapping at the shore and the woodland faeries dancing in the forests. I enjoyed spending some beautiful days with my family there, especially my dear 87-year-old Grandma Elly.
And now I’m in Socorro, New Mexico, substitute teaching in the high school. I am enjoying the vastness of the desert and endless blue skies, the warm cheerful sunshine and people, and the magnificent and oh so humbling mountains and canyons. And I pray for guidance for the next step and the next step and the next step that I take on my path…
