Life's Too Short To Always Say No Or Maybe....

About Me

Ryan http://SaYzoFilms.bebo.com/
I think Cassavetes said;"I don’t believe the purpose of art is propagandizing."Rightly so, but then again, if anyone watches my films, that’s a step in the right fucking direction.Ryan is the name. I make films. Been making films since about 2002. Made all sorts of shit, from fiction shorts, two features, music videos, experimental, installations, documentary and even the odd skate video. Just becuase I made alot, doesn’t mean it’s all good but we’re getting there.IF ANYONE HAS A PROPOSITION, CONTACT ME! WE GOT THE SKILLS!The 9-5 doesn’t really work for me. Did a long time. It ain’t great. That’s not to say I don’t respect the plebs who do, it just doesn’t work for me that’s all. However, it if this don’t work out. Fuck film. And quite frankly fuck myself, since I’ll be joining the masses. Hopefully that doesn’t happen ... hopefully. There is a full filmography in the blog, some posters on the site and some of the films (in full or trailers) as well. See if stumbling across this was at all worth while. Plenty of views but no comments. C’MON PEOPLE, FUCKSSAKE!

My Interests

I'm trying to move steadily away from film for a small while. Adverts and commercials are fine but short film, I will see how far my emotional barrier holds up after this one.Films was one of the few things I really enjoyed but I started as a sculpter and fine artist but since none of the art colleges liked my way of doing things (I wasn't a wank for the patter) I went to film. I still illustrate and do a monthly comic written by my friend as well as moving into illustrating and deign. I love this shit!Check it in the al-bums!

I'd like to meet:

Other filmmakers and the like. Music composers and good bands who want music videos done. Artists and illustrators. Designers and Art Directors. Anyone who has a slight interest in the kinda films I make. Interesting folk who like interesting stories.Ironically, I already know most people like this but again, contact me anyway.I can't be done with people who think they are better than everyone else. You can fuck off. I have to put up with enough of those people already. I can't be done with people who have no respect for anyone else, who treat others like shit and don't let them get a word in. Fuck off, I can't be done with you. Go join Dennis "Wedge" Lawson (who I met the other week) in his, "I'm fucking interesting" club. Also, as the list goes on, I cant't done with anyone forcing their opinion on me. I have a way of doing things. If you don't like it, go find someone who will do it. It will probably be boring and shit but there you go. Arrogance and Confidence? Gimme it.

Books:

Anything by Peter Biskind, Ken Kesey, Frank Miller, Katsuhiro Otomo (yes those last two are comic book artists but they write great stories) and probably John Grisham. Maybe a little of the Dr. Hunter S. Thomson and Philip K. Dick for completely fucking with my mind. I like reading about what other directors say about the craft whenever possible. Kurosawa is ingenious in explaining his craft. And to Luke Rhinehart, who wrote THE DICE MAN: I want the rights to that book!

Heroes:

Apart from Scorsese, Kurosawa, Ridley Scott, Cassavetes saving me from the filmmaking void of banality, Bowie for giving me the Spider's From Mars and Japan for showing me a more cultured way of life and Spiderman and Batman for just being heroes,I'd have to look towards my friends and family seeing that the greatest heroes never have to wear a mask.
