Rap group "Tha Sixaz" consist of five solo artists who grew up together in Detroit or met at one point in life. The Sixaz, led by N.Y. and Jon Dough, is comprised of brothers, friends, a studio engineer and beat designer. In the past five years the group has been performing and collaborating with in- and out-of-state artists. A lot of rap followers as well as artists have grown to love their many mix tapes distributed by Free Street Entertainment. With little to no advertising, the group has created a word-of-mouth buzz and a unique following that has everyone from kids and Super Bowl XL after-party audiences sing their music. [email protected]'s Bios Jon Dough was born in the 1980s and grew up with N.Y., his brother, on the West side on Detroit, MI. Dough, who has been rapping for six years, is commonly known for switching lyrical style, catering to the streets hardcore ear and creating female-liked anthems. Since 2004, Jon Dough has created two mix-tapes with his rap group Da Sixaz. He is currently in the studio working on new tracks for his own mix-tape and shopping around his demo to various music labels.
