About Me

I am a filmmaker living and working in Cape Town, South Africa. I live, dream and breathe film. I come from a theatre family, so I guess its all in my blood. I believe that the medium of film is the most powerful way to touch the human race. With our films we can influence people's lives, help to set them free, bring attention to their pain and often we can heal their souls. I believe there are many wonderful stories out there just waiting to be told. Every day is a new day in this human body, and if we can use each day to grow, heal and become everything we were designed to be, we will be living a life that is free, whole and inspiring to others.I am a single parent of 3 incredible children, aged 21, 19 and 12. They gave birth to me, not me to them. They have taught me how to be greater, try harder, never give up and above all, how to believe in the sacredness of life.I love meeting new people and travelling the world with my film camera. I know what I want from life and I know exactly how to get it. I'm focused, driven, passionate and I never give up on the things I believe in. I don't give a hoot whether people like me or not, I like myself and I'm very comfortable in my own skin. I've made plenty of mistakes along the way, but I've learned to forgive myself and move along. Its in the forgiveness of self and others that we find inner peace. Currently I run an independent film school in Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA. I've also just written my first book, which is awaiting publication and am involved in several other projects including community projects to help women be safer in society. For all Other Filmmakers out there, I'd love to hear from you. I am a guerilla-style filmmaker, meaning I produce, direct, shoot and edit most of my own work. Drop me a line and let's talk film.
