Warm, friendly, laid back and down to earth, free spirit ... So what should I tell you about me? I'm an animal lover, love nature and being outdoors. Crazy about the beach ... love to be on a beach looking at woods that meet the shoreline. Like to find beach glass. Athletic ..anything that challenges my body, mind and soul and makes me sweat. I truly adore things that can touch my soul. Love to play softball, ride bikes, rollerblade. I like to try new things and meet new people and spend time with my friends. I like live Christmas trees and real fireplaces. I grew up on a farm and love the quiet of the country and the mountains but can also appreciate the diversity and activities of the city. I hope to swim with dolphins, kayak with whales, skydive and visit Ireland one day. I'm passionate about helping people as I simply wish to spread my message of hope and joy. I'm a cancer survivor and I am grateful for the person it has allowed me to become. I have been fighting it actively for 17 years and I am here to tell you that you can do it too if you need to. There is always hope. You can live with it and still live a full and joyful life, despite any side effects from treatment. I am here to tell you that you are your own miracle. In searching for answers and trying to make sense of my life and my cancer, I found myself, along the way! I have always thought I needed to win the lottery ... I just recently discovered that I had already won ... it is in finding or getting in touch with your true self that you will find your miracle too. I do know now, without any doubt that there is a purpose for everything in my life, it is because of my experiences that I am me. This is why I am able to be grateful. As Kris Carr once said " I would never call cancer a gift, as I would never give it to anyone as a present." My purpose is simple .. that I find a way to experience and express the unique and special person that I am, and to be the best human that I can be. I think fear has been my biggest obstacle ... wow! It is so cool and freeing to now have this knowledge. But I do know that there will always be more to learn, experience and live. Dare to go within and dare to find your Joy.
