Music is absolutely my therapy. I would be completely insane if I weren't lucky enough to be able to wrap my every emotion around a song. I don't really know what other people think of my songs but I do know that every time I step away from my piano, whatever restlessness I had been feeling has been eased. Even if every song I write turns out to be crap, that cleansing feeling of peace would push me to write the next.I grew up in a small town about 70 miles west of Chicago (somewhere in the middle of a cornfield..) I went to Northern Illinois University where I studied classical voice and realized that its takes so much more than the luck of having a pretty voice to be a true musician. I'm still learning.
