Evil will triumph when Good Men Do Nothing

About Me

Imago Dei is from Richmond, Va by way of Atlanta Georgia. He is truly an artist with his music, painting pictures with poetry. Some have called him an emcee's emcee, saying he uses a smooth flow and superb lyricism to capture the attention of the listener and then deliver pearls of wisdom.Imago describes himself as an artist for the people. In this modern hip-hop culture there are very few artist who are concerned with the well being of our community. Imago Dei is an exception to that rule. He dedicates his art to trying to inspire people to make society a better place, especially in the black community.Imago Dei has graced the stage with many great artist, most notably, KRS-One. In the summer of 2004 Imago accompanied KRS on the KEEP RIGHT Tour, as one half of the group Figgaz of Speech. Soon after the tour Figgaz of Speech went their seperate due personal responsibilities. Since then he has preformed in a few places between Richmond and Atlanta, but has mainly focused on production. Now with a new energy Imago Dei is returning to the studio and the stage. He's currently working on his solo debut album entitled "Community Service". Imago describes the is album as "a revival of the movement started by Public Enemy". Imago is serving as both artist and producer on this project. Look out for it in the beginning of 2008. In the mean time check out the tracks above to hold you over.
