About Me

The Acquisition has gone through its fair share of changes in the relatively short time we've been a band. We started out when former singer/guitarist Danny Hodges recruited Davey Cox to play drums on an acoustic side project. We then slowly evolved into a full-fledged power trio with the addition of bassist Sean Helman. The Acquisition released their debut EP completely indepentently back in December '06 and played some fun shows around the area in support of it.
In the fall of '07, we decided to call it quits and go our separate ways. Danny is focusing on running his recording studio ( Scratch Studios ), Sean is keeping busy with his career and being a grown up, and Davey is working on some solo acoustic stuff as well as playing drums in a new band.
Keep an eye out for great things in the future of each of the members of The Acquisition. Scratch Studios is growing in popularity, and Danny's side-project Car Beats Train is working on a record that will be killer. Davey is playing in This Waking Moment who is touring this winter. And as for Sean, when he can find the time, he's gonna do awesome stuff with those pipes and bass skills of his.
