About Me

LIFE IS NOT MEASURED BY THE NUMBER OF BREATHES WE TAKE BUT BY THE MOMENTS THAT TAKE OUR BREATHE AWAY....
So I was right. This year is going to be just as good as last year...only better. Moving to Charlotte was the best move I ever made for my son and I. I feel at peace down here. My home, the location, my jobs at Mellow and Smelly Cat, and all the kick ass people I've met. I couldn't have asked for better surroundings for Covin and I. So far this year I've taken him to Motocross, we've gone camping, and I've taken him to the Blues Traveler concert. Then there are other things like walking up to The Penguin and having lunch together, walking to the park to play softball, and hangin out in NoDa and running into all our friends. I bartend and waitress at Mellow Mushroom, run 3 mornings at the Smelly Cat Coffee Shop, and do video transcription at home when it's available. I know that we will have a roof over our head, I know that we will be able to eat for the next week, and I know that if something fun comes up that we'll be able to join in. It's a great feeling...knowing that you don't have to worry about the important things in life and be able to join in the fun that comes our way. Life is sweet!!

My Interests

Watching my son grow, taking him to experience fun things he's never done before, bartending at Mellow, seeing everyones smiling tired faces when the walk threw the Smelly Cat door in the mornings, Spring time in Charlotte, going to all the fun shows around town, the company of my good friends (Leigh mostly), going to the beach, going to the mountains, and being a part of this neighborhood that feels like one big family
