About Me

“We all come to a point in our lives where we see the signs, and are given a choice of where we want to go. We can make a choice to make things better or to fuck things up. That’s the moment… between the warning and the war”. ~ vocalist, Lauren
SiX was formed in 2001, in Orange County, CA. Their first release was an EP called "When The Beauty's Gone" (1605 Records). SiX played all over America and Canada throughout 2001-2004; with the likes of Clutch, Gwar, Dope, Hed Pe, Saliva, Coal Chamber, and countless other local and regional bands.
In 2004, the band returned to their rehearsal/recording studio, "The Asylum", to cook up new music for their full length debut. It became the dark, heavy groove, metal onslaught, titled, "The Price Of Faith", which hit stores in February, 2005 (1605 Records). Once again they toured their asses off all over America, and even dippin' down into Mexico; rockin' with everyone from Dry Kill Logic, Slipknot, Fear Factory, Chimira, Nevermore, Arch Enemy & a ton of other great bands.
They ended almost 2 years of touring and entered the rehearsal studio again, to start writing a new album. 27 songs were written, and many of the new songs were debuted live in front of sold out shows with Clutch, legendary punk gods the Germs, & Disturbed. Yet the album was far from finished.
SiX first began to record the album up in a fancy Hollywood studio, but then eventually scrapped the entire project to start completely over in a buddy’s small dungeon like studio. They worked sometimes up to 15 hours a day, sleeping in the studio to get it done. The vibe was perfect. Although there were many struggles from the beginning, their drive was relentless.
Finally, with the additions of Mike Clark (Suicidal Tendencies) on “Forgiveness”, and Tony Campos (Static X) on “Warning” & “The Day I Died”… all of their inspiration and determination resulted in "Between The Warning and The War" (1605 Records), released on April 20, 2007. The same day of the release, SiX rocked another sold out Jager show with Stone Sour, Shadows Fall, & Lacuna Coil. It was an amazing way to celebrate the release!
The new album is a blistering attack on mainstream music. It's somewhere between old school power, and the future of aggression. "We decided to really let our roots show on this one. We all grew up on metal, punk, and classic rock. So this time around, we're letting it all come out", vocalist Lauren says proudly. "We don't care about trends like most bands seem to these days. We just do what we do, and this one really captures the energy and intensity we've built as a touring band. It's destroys!"
SiX is preparing for their next tour, in support of “Between The Warning And The War”, and recently added a second guitar player, which has intensified their live sound. Also, in April they shot their first video for their new single “Warning”. So look for that, as well as more awesome SiX news as it unfolds. They plan to hit the road very soon!!!
”We've gotta gives huge props to Jagermeister and our 1605 Family for all the love and support over the years. We couldn't pull this off without ya'!” - SiX
