About Me

Born in South Carolina, 1978 to a race car driver and a high school senorita, I was destined to arrive at this point. Mom shared stories with me about when she was pregnant and I'd be kicking to the beat of the music when my dad picked her up in his car. Mom and dad always had a huge collection of records and I would get alone to myself and listen to Marvin Gaye, Gap Band, Dazz Band, O'Bryan, Lipps, Inc. etc. I didn't know I was a singer but I loved music. In middle school I joined chorus and my music teacher noticed my voice. She gave me a solo in our school concert and my journey began. I loved the attention and with me being so shy then, my voice was a way to reach out. Music and I became inseparable and I couldn't get enough of it. I raided my dad's old 45s and my moms cassette tapes and recorded jams from local radio. Soon, I joined a group of my cousins and a some other friends and we formed a group. We performed and wrote songs for several years, won talent shows and did numerous weddings making me want to pursue a career in music with them. It came to a point where we started families, jobs and school and we soon no longer had time to get together as a group and soon gave it up. In 2003, I decided to move to the ATL to further pursue my dream of sharing my talent with the world and everyday I get closer to it. In the present and for the future I want to sing songs that are positive and let future generations of folk know that there is more to life than shaking it in the club and trying to get some bling or that car with the spinning rims. There are rewards for hard work, there is love and family and satisfaction to earning things that no one can take away from you. Thanks for checkin' me out. L.T.
