About Me

The lights dim and a thunderous primeval beat fills the void before being joined by a rib-crunching bass line that, together, shakes the very soul. Twin guitars slam into the consciousness before your body is fully impaled on the floating lyrics that sing of love, lust and greed. The assault is relentless as song after song hits you in the solar plexus. Without wanting to you find your limbs beginning to move and your head begins to shake. The sweat trickles, as all hope is lost and good taste abandoned. Without realising it, you have a shit-eating grin spread across your face and youre clapping to each rock-solid beat. Lip Service have no hidden agenda. They do one thing and they do it well; they ROCK! There is no political message or introverted whining, no false platitudes or sentiment. A Lip Service gig is 100% biker-friendly high-revved rocknroll. Its party central and its not for the faint-hearted. All too soon the last notes are struck and hang in the air. You've sung yourself hoarse and theres a buzzing in your ears but you dont care. Rock n Roll was surely never meant to be this much fun?
New album - Out now! What they say about us!Woah, and there I was thinking that the secret recipe for this sort of sleazy twin guitar attack got lost for good when some bozo drunkenly dropped it in a Sunset Strip gutter back in ’84! (The trax) sounds as though it’s been recorded on the same set-up as an early Faster Pussycat gem.Bubblegum Slut MagazineFor those that long for the early days of Cinderella, look no further than Lip Service. Vocalist Neil Fielding has a Tom Keifer fetish and is capable of ending each lyrical line with that throaty growl…Sleaze RoxxLip Service is a new, exciting British band, bringing together clean-shaven NWOBHM riffola and 80’s US hair metal in a car crash of raw, shiny, and hard bodied metal. …clearly influenced by the glam inclined stadium pop metal of bands like Poison and Cinderella, with vocalist Neil Fielding’s cut glass rasp a ringer for Tom Keifer’s cawing croon.RevelationZ Magazine
Biker rock with sleaze influences. 8/10www.rockingboy.de‘Cream’…could be the best Lip Service song I’ve heard yet. It opens with a Cult influenced groove that is one of the most addictive rhythms I’ve heard since Salty Dog’s ‘Come Along’. ‘Back To School’ has a similar feel to Skid Row’s ‘Piece Of Me’ … while ‘Bang Bang’ sounds like something Ace Frehley would have written.…vocalist Neil Fielding sounds like a cross between Tom Keiferand Sebastian Bach…and his bandmates are no slouches either! Like any sleaze band worth their weight in gold Lip Service has sex on the mind, from the lyrics right down to the sexy schoolgirl on the front cover.Sleaze Roxx... Lip Service continue to take rock 'n' roll right back to the original Southern slang meaning of the phrase, taking as the basics of their trade a lyric sheet ripped straight out of the classifieds section of a smut mag... Bugglegum Slut Magazine... simply brimming with that exciting classic rock vibe...very reminiscent of the good old heady days of the 80's when you were rockin' out to the likes of Kixx and LA Guns at your local rock club Rockbabe Recommends, www.therockshow.co.ukA tribute to cliches from these Southampton 'eadbangers...Twin guitars, a heavy Skid Row fixation, and a sexy schoolgirl cover you could masturbate to...Classic Rock
