Well I graduated from good ol' Rutgers in 2003. I started working for a large insurance company, but insurance is boring, and so is office work. So I saved up, quit, and studied to become a sound designer and audio engineer.
I started out doing most of my soundwork in theater, helping with the production of The MarijuanaLogues for a month, and working on the 2005 Drama Desk Awards. After that I moved on to recording studios, where I worked with numerous indie rock bands in the New York area.
I learned 99% of everything I know about post-production at Sony Music Studios in Manhattan. I started as an intern, and was hired after 8 weeks of working for nothing. Since then, the Sony Studio , the place where Kurt Cobain's final performance was staged, closed its doors in July of '07. Now I do some freelance, as well as work full-time at Creative Group in Times Square.
I also record and produce hip hop from home, and rep that Otha Ish. However, work and beer have distracted me from maintaining my music webspace. New Otha Ish should be dropping in the near future, and I will then be keeping everyone updated on the hotness that spews forthwith.
When I'm strapped for cash, I sell some beats or work security. I've bounced at Stuff Yer Face in New brunswick, as well as a few NYC clubs, including Tonic and Avalon. Many think I'm too nice for security, but there's nothing more fun than pushing around drunk people.
I kinda play Catch 27, although I am horrible at it. I guess that means I am a social failure. Actually, it doesn't. It just means I have a hard time trading my friends. It sounds like an asshole thing to do. What, you don't play? Join my pack, bitch!
